This week, we have supported a provider by preparing for a local authority Audit.
Reviewing everything from onboarding, staff meetings, training, service user feedback, lessons learnt, and implementing new strategies to ensure the provider is safe and well-led.
This proactive approach has allowed us to thoroughly review all Quality statements before the audit. We have implemented and supported an extensive action plan that is transparent, honest, holds individuals accountable, and provides a timeline for effective management.
When the Audit Is Approaching
If you are a provider ‘stressed’ that you have an audit approaching, ‘get your ducks in a row’. Ensure you have adequate and pro-active governance, your structure is well-trained, and individuals know their responsibilities. Ensure you have created an open forum for discussion and are transparent with each individual in your organisation, including your local authority- Ensure this is evidence-based with action plans, accountability and deadlines.
